Professional photographer Douglas Ljungkvist stopped in today. Besides being a genuinely nice person and an excellent photographer, Doug is a huge fan of Ocean Beach, NJ. Now based out of Brooklyn, NY, Doug is originally from Sweden. He used to vacation here when he was younger and cherishes those memories like so many of us do. One of Doug's specialities is photographing architecture. Much of his portfolio centers on architecture from his many travels including Sweden, Iceland, Mexico and much of Europe. But like a firefly to a light, Doug was drawn back to Ocean Beach. He likes the fact that so little has changed in Ocean Beach over the years. The grid style layout of the community, the various colors and shapes of the buildings, the sandy roads and lines of cottages; these are the things Doug had a calling to come back and photograph. Douglas talks about Ocean Beach with the same passion he does about his other extensive travels to exotic locations.
